If you teach at a U.S. college or university, please make a class announcement to remind students: (1) where and when they can vote; (2) that they should bring their driver's license or a paycheck, utility bill, or government document that includes their name and street address; and (3) that it's best to vote as early as possible to avoid long lines or last-minute mishaps.
For further information, see U.S. Presidential Campaigns and Rock the Vote for absentee ballots, voter registration, and more.

*In Washington state, voters are sent a ballot at least 18 days before each election and must return them to a drop-box by 8:00 pm on election day or mail them back with a postmark no later than election day.
